The back-to-school season isn't just for enrolled students this fall at Saint Mary's University. With Arts for Everyone, the Faculty of Arts is opening our doors to the community! Members of the public are invited to attend a selection of courses on a drop-in basis, starting in the first week of September:

  • Ancient Literature – Tuesdays and Thursdays, 1 to 2:15 p.m. with Dr. Luke Hathaway (September 5 to December 3)
  • Writing for Performance – Fridays, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. with Dr. Luke Hathaway (September 6 to November 29)
  • Beckett and the Idea of Zionism – Fridays, 1 to 3:30 p.m. with Dr. Seán Kennedy (September 6 to November 29).

Visit our Arts For Everyone webpage to find out more, including lists of topics covered in the classes each week. If you'd like to take a course and engage with the material more deeply, you can choose to register via Brightspace and complete a suite of assignments. Those who register and do the assignments can earn a digital badge to showcase their accomplishment. But drop-ins are also welcome for every class. Arts courses are for everyone – come join us!
